How to determine whether pine moulding products quality
Check the raw material
You can examine the cut surface of pine moulding products. If the grain of the pine is clear and evenly distributed, the color is relatively clean, and the texture is fine, it indicates that the pine is of good quality, the product will be durable and can keep good performance for long time
Check the cutting edge
You also need to check the cut surface of the moulding. If the edges after cutting are smooth and clean, with minimal burrs, it indicates good quality. For white primed surfaces, you should also check whether the coating on the cut edge is intact and not peeling off.
Check the surface finish
For a qualified white primed surface finish, the surface should be smooth and clean, with a very even coating. The finish should also have good adhesion, so it will not easily peel off when the surface is bumped or scratched. In addition, the coating thickness should not be too thick. Our coating thickness is controlled at 0.18–0.2 mm.
Check the nail-holding ability
You need to test the nail-holding strength of the moulding, especially for finger joint moulding products. If the joints are not properly treated, the wood can easily split when a nail is driven in at the joint. If the nail-holding strength is poor, the moulding cannot be securely fixed to the wall, making installation very difficult.
